Raleigh: 34 percent market share
Casket plc (now Tandem): 28 percent market share
Universal Cycles: 11 percent market share
Moore Large: 9 percent market share

However, since those figures were published two other companies came to the fore. Concept Cycling and Magna Technology ate away at the market share of Townsend of the Tandem Group which has been incorporated into Falcon, although Magna has since gone into liquidation.
