With the Legh Arms on your left, leave Adlington Station and turn right.
Cycle for about a mile and then turn left onto Roundy Lane.
At the second 'Give Way' sign, turn left onto Cawley Lane. Cawley Lane becomes Skellorn Green Lane which changes to Wood Lane West.
Turn left onto Moggy Lane and follow the road up to Waterloo Road.
Turn right and cycle up to the T-junction.
Turn right into Coppice Road and continue over a bridge. After the bridge follow the road up to a car part on your right.
Turn into the car park and pass through the opening in front of you - you are now on the Middlewood Way (a disused railway track) and you should turn left. Leave the Middlewood Way after you have gone under the fifth bridge (Holehouse Lane). Carry your bike up the steps on your right and go through the opening onto the road.
At the top of Middlewood Way head left. Keep to this road until a T-junction after a bridge.
Turn left onto the A523 and cycle up to Prestbury.
Take the first turn to the right, Bonis Hall Lane, and go under the railway bridge. Follow this road for about two miles until you reach Mill Lane on your right. Turn here and you will soon come to a crossroads, after passing Ardlington Hall on your right. Go straight across the A523, past the Legh Arms Pub, and back to the station on your right.
